KASAccess Guest Keys – Bluetooth

Guest Keys (Pin Codes or RFID Cards) when created have a Bluetooth key/s associated by default
This is applied through the Unique Identifier section for new Guests, or if a Unique Identifier already exists please choose Select Key User on the Add Keys page for new guests.

Requirement

The Unique Identifier needs to have no spaces. ie – JohnJones, NOT John Jones or Fred Smith, the Identifier would be FredSmith.
Unique Identifier
The unique identifier can be whatever you like. (No two people can have the same identifier)
Added features if using a unique identifier with:
  1. An email address – This will email the Guest with the details on their stay like Pin Code, Room number/Room title, Bluetooth Key instructions
  2. A mobile number – This will SMS the Guest with their details on their stay like Pin Code, Room number/Room title, Bluetooth Key instructions

Adding Keys –

(All Keys have when created a Bluetooth key/s associated by default)
  1. Click Access and Passage
  2. Click Keys
  3. Click ADD
  4. Select Key Type PIN or RFID Card or 'Is BT Only Key'
  5. Add Guest details –
    1. If the Guest is Existing, please select their name from the 'Select a Key User' section or
    2. If New Guest Please enter a unique identifier for the Guest in the section – Guest Identifier
    3. Modify the Guests Keys Start Date-Time / End Date-Time
    4. Select the Property, if you have multiple Properties on your account.
    5. Select the Lock(s) or Lift(s) or Lock group from the there drop down you wish to assign to your Guest key.
  6. Click SAVE

Accessing Bluetooth Keys

Download KASAccess mobile app from the appropriate mobile app store
iPhone
Android
Once the Guest has downloaded the mobile app direct them, as below to login to the mobile app.
 – On first login with a Unique Identifier it will request the user to choose there own password.
  1. Click the 'Log in with KASAccess Account'
    1. Email address: Unique Identifier
    2. Password: defaultpass > Choose your own password
The guest once logged into the mobile app will ONLY see the Keys they are assigned and that are not expired.
Further Information
Bluetooth Keys NO NOT require KAS Gateways to be installed or operational to work.
