Instructions
The process of programming a Platinum Lock to your Lock-S system is very similar to the process you normally would go through in order to program a new door.
Step 1 – Firmware Cards (If received):
-
If you received Firmware Cards along with your locks (usually numbered 1 to 5), insert batteries into the lock to ensure it’s powered on
-
Tap the cards numbered 1 from 5 in sequence until you hear a second beep tone from each card.
- The LED will turn green while programming, and will turn off when done. If the LED stays green, repeat the process, the lock will reject each card until you reach the one it missed.
- Once the lock is programmed, press and hold the reset button until the lock makes a chirping sound.
Step 2 – Install the lock on your doors as you normally would.
Step 3 – Locate your System Card
- Every Lock-S System has a System Card created when it’s installed. Locate your System Card for future steps.
Step 4 – Program a Parameter Card
- Open Lock-S and Navigate to Setting Cards -> Parameter Card
- Tick the box of the door you are programming (e.g. "Room 10")
- Guest Rooms appear in the "Lock" tab, Common Doors appear in the "Door" tab, Lift Controllers appear in the "Lift" tab
- Place a card on the card reader, and press "Issue"
Step 5 – Program the lock
- Tap the System Card to the lock until it beeps once
- Tap the Parameter Card to the lock
Step 6 – Create a Clock Card
- Open Lock-S and navigate to Setting Cards -> Clock Card
- Put a card on the reader and select "Issue"
- Tap the Clock Card to the door
Note: Do not reuse old Clock Cards as their time is out of sync. You can re-issue them, but you cannot reuse the same clock.
Your door should now be programmed.
Test the door with a Master Card, and then with a Guest Card.
